The Town Deal bid for Leyland offers a compelling vision for improvements to the centre of Leyland, from the station, down the high street and into the town’s market. The BASE building will form an important part of this vision and will enable the creation and continuing support of small businesses, provide a venue for skills training, and offering specialist facilities which support these goals.
The central circulation space, topped with rooflights admitting natural light, is the central device for organising the programme of the building. . Surrounded by incidental seating and meeting places, it is also lively and social. .
Accommodation is arranged around a simple hierarchy of more public on the ground floor to more private on the second floor. . Developed with our friends at @tetratecheurope
